Micholandia plans East Austin dessert shop

Micholandia is working on an 1,800 square foot interior buildout at Northwend Shopping Center in East Austin. The planned shop would serve items such as paletas, mangonadas, ice cream, aguas frescas and fruit cups.

The Austin store is expected to be the brand's seventh location and will be run by a licensed owner. The company uses a licensing model rather than a traditional franchise setup, giving local operators access to the brand while leaving them more room to manage day to day operations.
